I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, specializing in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I received my bachelor’s degree from Marylhurst University where I majored in Human Studies. I hold a master’s degree from George Fox University in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling with an emphasis in working with children and families. I hold a post-graduate certification in Foster and Adoptive Family Therapy from Portland State University. While receiving my formal education in counseling, I worked as a Montessori teacher with children eighteen months to seven years old, for ten years.

I view counseling as a collaborative effort where we work together as a team to find interventions, treatment methods, and goals that best suit you and your current needs. I strive to meet you where you are, guide you in identifying strengths and resources and together create new ways of healthier functioning. I work from an eclectic approach with strong emphasis in CBT and systems/attachment theories. CBT is an evidence-based approach which evaluates how the way we think and feel effect the way we act. Systems/Attachment Theory takes into consideration that we are often shaped by our experiences and our relationships with others, which together have a profound impact on the person we become. By working from this integrated approach, I am able to draw from a variety of different tools and interventions that best meet your current needs, and more closely tailor the therapy experience to match you as an individual. By coming to therapy, you have taken a very positive step forward. The outcome of therapy depends greatly on your willingness to engage in this process, which may, at times, result in discomfort. I will support you through this as well as help you to define what it is you want for yourself from this experience.

I want to thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey, and look forward to working with you.

A person is NOT their diagnosis or a set of symptoms. I believe in treating the whole person from a position of support, instilling hope, respect and dignity, to tackle the deeply rooted and complex challenges that are often the source of significant emotional distress.

Seeking the support of a counselor can be a difficult first step in understanding the barriers preventing you from living your best life. It is an honor for me to earn your trust. I am here to support you in making meaning, creating comfort, and uncovering resources to help you work through past hurts and current unhelpful patterns. Whether you are experiencing worry or anxiety, depressed mood, challenges associated with life or career transitions, or struggles related to self-esteem a strong therapeutic relationship can equip you with the tools you need to start the healing process.

I help individuals gain the skills to effectively communicate their needs, to feel more emotionally connected to others, and to be less reactive. With my mindfulness approach, I help people to increase their tolerance of discomfort, and to address symptoms of anxiety and unwanted habits such as emotional eating, and substance abuse.

A person is NOT their diagnosis or a set of symptoms. I believe in treating the whole person from a position of support, instilling hope, respect and dignity, to tackle the deeply rooted and complex challenges that are often the source of significant emotional distress.

Olivia Dalke, Professional Counselor Associate

I value creating a safe space and therapeutic relationship for clients to learn about themselves, practice coping skills and process through difficult emotions and/or experiences. I work to honor one's culture and context with curiosity and celebration while holding space for the inequities that are present in our society.

Olivia Dalke has spent her career working primarily in community mental health with a diverse population of individuals and groups recovering from crisis and trauma. In addition, Olivia has experience working with adults, adolescents, children and parents.

Olivia is whole-heartedly collaborative in her approach to counseling. She values meeting people exactly where they are and deciding where to go together. She values working with a wide range of different life experiences, transitions and disruptions and understands the difficulty of reaching out for support. In this productivity-driven society, Olivia has a particular passion for working with athletes, musicians, artists and creators who are experiencing or have experienced burnout or “stuckness” and related stress.

Olivia understands and implements the important work of her own cultural humility within the counseling relationship and pays close attention to the societal and cultural harms that are present for individuals within the BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and Disabled communities. She acknowledges that sometimes, simply living in one’s own body is an act of resistance. Olivia honors the body’s experience by incorporating trauma-informed somatic practices into counseling.

In her free time, Olivia enjoys spending time in nature, reading, playing soccer and making music.

Olivia offers the following therapy, both in person and via telehealth:

- Individual

- EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing)

- Somatic

- Expressive

- Interpersonal neurobiology

- DBT

- Multicultural/Feminist

I take pride in creating space for people to explore who they've been in order to clear a path towards who they intend to be. Therapy is a place for venting, crying, growing and changing, it is also a place for laughing, celebrating, healing and connecting. If you or your child are struggling to find motivation and tools to cope with symptoms of mental health, I believe my experience and approaches to therapy can support you in walking towards your goals with more confidence, self-compassion and joy.

As a mental health professional, I am most interested in helping clients connect current behaviors with defenses that were built during past adverse or traumatic experiences. I believe that when we can understand where negative or disruptive behaviors began, we become more energized in our journey to view and interact with the world in ways that better reflect who we are. I use many modalities to accomplish this level of understanding to include DBT, CBT, collaborative problem solving (CPS) and psychodynamic approaches. I also use humor, rapport, art, music, play and experience. When working with youth, I rely on family collaboration to ensure that once their goals are met, they graduate into a support system that is empathetic and functioning in a way that allows them to continue their growth and learning.

Prior to receiving my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bushnell University, I spent 7 years working with children and adolescents who had been admitted to inpatient mental health facilities for otherwise unregulated symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, bi-polar disorder, suicidality, ADHD, psychotic disorders and severe defiance. It was through this work that I realized children and adults alike require more support than ever to identify, acknowledge and communicate emotional needs in a way that works for them and translates to the world around them. While impulsivity, poor ability to sustain attention, anxiety, poor emotion regulation, depressed mood, overthinking, and difficulty meeting expectations may all be diagnosable, they are also unconscious statements meant to shed light on unmet needs.

Since becoming established as a Professional Counselor Associate, I've been lucky in having opportunities to provide individual, family and couples therapy to people aged 4 to 50 with a wide variety of therapeutic goals. I am grateful to serve many populations and feel most passionate about serving school aged youth, as I feel I am able to help them find their voice and speak up into a world that so often dismisses their cries for help. If you've found yourself or your child in persistent conflict with those around you, I look forward to working alongside you to reduce the emotional stress, tension and fatigue that is weighing you down. Together we can replace defenses with coping skills and work through grief to better understand who you are.

I see clients for in person therapy, keeping Telehealth as an option for pre-existing clients who need short term accommodations for matters such as illness, COVID exposures and transportation issues.

You have found yourself in a strange new world, but feel you don't belong. Afraid to reveal your true self and what you believe. What fears do you need to face? What stands between you and your happiness? Is life possible after trauma? When you learn to wield your mind skillfully like a sword, there is no foe too great and no challenge too steep.

Specialties: I have a passion for helping the LGBTQ+ community with anxiety, depression, trauma, and addictive thoughts and behaviors. I strongly believe in practicing and teaching meditation skills for formal and informal practice, building self-confidence and awareness through Non-Dual and integral philosophy, and self-empowerment through support in navigating life's many challenges.

Modalities: I have primarily found Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Person Centered Therapy to be the pillars of my therapeutic style. Additionally I have completed basic training for EMDR which I have found to be using in addressing post-traumatic symptoms and self-defeating thoughts and beliefs that hold us back.

Education: I have earned my Bachelor's degree from Portland State University majoring in psychology and earned my Master's degree in Applied Psychological Sciences with a clinical focus from Pacific University.

Experience: I have extensive experience with teens and young adults. I worked at Albertina Kerr, an in-patient setting, for children and teens who were experiencing severe emotional, mental, and existential distress. I was an intern counselor in an outpatient setting at William Temple House where I primarily helped young adults. I was employed by Marion County Children's Behavioral Health as both a crisis mental health specialist and therapist for children and teens for crisis intake and ongoing outpatient therapy.

There seems to be a rhythm to life. An outflow and an inflow, an up and a down. There is also a clockwise spin to the future or counterclockwise spin to the past projections in our minds. The more to the outer edges there is chaos and life experienced when attached or avoiding. But the more toward the center and into our self we go, the more we reach a point of order, stillness, and life when unattached and accepting of what may come.

My name is Jennifer and I live in the Willamette Valley with my family and dogs. I have been working in the field for the last decade and have a strong belief that human connection and empathy for each other can help heal most wounds we have.

When I work with individuals I like to get to know you and what your goals are so that I can help support this vision. This can be accomplished through different therapy modalities; Cognitive-behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and other evidence-based modalities. The most important thing in working together is that you are comfortable with the work we are doing and in control of it.

I went to school at Portland State University where I obtained my Bachelors of Social Science in 2013, and my Masters of Social Work in 2017. I have worked across the lifespan with children, adults and older adults. I have worked in correctional settings, hospital settings, and community-based settings in providing therapeutic services. Most importantly I am a person with lived experience and understand the need for someone to listen to you without judgement.

My name is Dean Harry, and I am thrilled to be working as a therapist with Stronger Oregon. I have 25+ years of experience working in counseling and education. As a professional counselor, I enjoy working with individuals, families, and couples. I can treat a wide range of mental health disorders, trauma and post traumatic conditions, and various levels of crisis. I can also offer support with parent-child conflicts, anger management, grief, past or present suicidal ideation, and conflict resolution skills. I am also familiar with issues and concerns related to marriage and long term relationships, parenting, substance use and recovery, divorce, and changes in phase of life. I prefer a Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) approach, while working with clients. I believe many of our core emotions and behaviors are generated by ideas, beliefs, attitudes, and thoughts and not necessarily by the events we experience. I also utilize aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I have deep roots working with client’s who struggle with mental illness in the private practice setting; as well as crisis, and psychiatric inpatient care.

My work as a professional educator has spanned many settings: teaching college level psychology classes as an adjunct professor, as well as working as a high school counselor, behavior specialist, autism consultant and as special education case manager at a high school in a youth correctional facility. I’m familiar with the special education process and have worked with students in both specialized and the mainstream setting. I work with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, emotional disturbance, other health impairment (mainly for ADHD, conduct disorder or oppositional defiant disorders) and specific learning disabilities.

No matter the situation, I work to cultivate a calm, relaxed, and trauma informed approach to insure my clients feel safe, respected and valued. Working together, we will develop a plan that works best for you. As a therapist, I would be honored to work you.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in PA and OR. I utilize a strengths-based approach to help my clients identify their innate skills/abilities. I place a strong emphasis on “systems," and I recognize that issues rarely stem from just the individual. I am also client-centered and will work with you to identify your individualized treatment goals. I believe in allowing my clients to self-determine their goals when applicable. However, I am happy to provide guidance if you are unsure of your specific needs.

I work with children, families, couples, and adults. Over the past seven years I have worked in corrections, public schools, and outpatient settings. From my experience I have developed a collaborative approach and believe that therapy is only effective if my clients feel that they are partners in the therapeutic process. My main modalities are emotionally-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and CBT.

I recently moved back to Pennsylvania after living and working in Oregon for the past three years. However, I'm currently accepting new Oregon telehealth clients and would be happy to work with you!

Life is like a journey through the woods. It’s easy to lose track of where you wanted to go or to get delayed by the many obstacles that appear in your path. But good support can help you make your journey through life more successful (however you define success).  You may feel completely lost and alone in the woods, want to develop a clearer vision for your future destination, be dealing with obstacles, or simply want some extra support as you prepare to take on the next leg of your journey. Wherever you are, I am here to help you find solutions and take the next steps forward.

I work with individuals, couples, and families. I specialize in addressing stress/anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, career related stress, or just coaching you on toward your best life. When in-person sessions become available, I am also able to offer aromatherapy for those who want to experience the power of essential oils to help your brain and body make positive shifts.

Prior to completing my degree in counseling from Western Seminary in 2017, I spent 15 years working in ministry using horses to help individuals and families heal and grow. I spent many years leading teams, training staff, and coaching clients to success. And in my experience, people are never one sided. We are a complex blend of heart, body, mind, and spirit. Each part interacting and impacting the others both within ourselves and with the people and environment around us. So as a counselor I want to see you go beyond surviving and to learn to THRIVE in all areas.
