Roots and Mission
At Stronger Oregon, we believe that mental health care should be accessible, equitable, and transformative for every individual, family, and community we serve. What started in 2018 as a vision to support struggling students in schools has grown into a statewide commitment to mental wellness. With my wife Megan’s background in education and my experience in school-based mental health services, we saw firsthand the barriers preventing children from getting the support they needed. We knew there had to be a better way—and that belief led to the creation of Roseburg Therapy now known as Stronger Oregon.
Today, our work extends far beyond school walls. Through outpatient services, telehealth, community-based care, and school partnerships, we provide compassionate and evidence-based mental health treatment across the state of Oregon. Our approach ensures that individuals receive the care they need, where they need it, without unnecessary barriers. Whether supporting a child in a classroom, an adult in crisis, or a family navigating life’s challenges, we are dedicated to fostering resilience, healing, and hope.
Our commitment is to excellence, ethical practice, and an unwavering dedication to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Our mission is carried out with integrity, professionalism, and compassion in every aspect of our work. Thank you for being a part of our journey—together, we are making a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
Stronger Oregon is dedicated to the late Jerry Fleshman, father of Megan, whose legacy will live on through the children and adults that are helped to overcome their overwhelming emotions and thoughts, including those in his home town of Portland.
