Hi. My name is Al Bowling. I am originally from Mississippi. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University and received my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver with a specialization in addictions.
I am a generalist; working with all populations. I am very passionate about helping youth ages 4-12 in particular, but enjoy working with all age groups. I have a lot of experience with and pride myself on helping LGBTQ+ individuals. I consider myself a strong ally in this community.
I utilize an integrated approach to counseling, pulling theory and techniques from Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solutions-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based practices; as well as other modalities.
