Dr. Stormie Keeler is a licensed Psychologist who has a wide range of experience through completion of an American Psychological Association Accredited (APA) Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program followed by an APA accredited residency at Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). At MCW
Dr. Keeler gained experience working in a hospital setting collaborating with physicians and patients who were undergoing palliative care, organ transplant, bone marrow transplant, physical rehabilitation, cancer treatment, diabetes treatment, and chemical dependency rehabilitation. As a health psychology resident, her understanding and belief in a collaborative approach was further solidified. Through her work with people undergoing breast cancer treatment, she became interested in women’s health.
Dr. Keelers interest in women’s health led to a fellowship at Confluence Health and Central Washington Hospital in Washington State. She worked as part of the medical team within three different clinics OBGYN, Women’s Health Primary Care and Internal Medicine. Here she was able to gain unique experience in aiding women in navigating stressors related to chronic medical conditions, fertility, menopause, hormone replacement, weight management, disordered eating, and a variety of peripartum and postpartum concerns.
Through her education and beliefs, Dr. Keeler takes a bio, psycho, social approach to her practice. In other words, she considers both internal and external factors that may be impacting the individual. Dr. Keeler believes the best care comes from a collaborative approach; therefore, as indicated she consults with your primary care provider, psychiatrist, gynecologist, endocrinologist, dietician etc. whomever is an important part of your medical team.
